The Museum Education Roundtable is expanding its efforts to support regional programs across the country.

Are you a member of a regional museum education group that gathers for networking or to discuss museum or education topics?  Send MER information on your program and we’ll post on our Facebook Page and on our site.  It will will increase your visibility and contribute to a national conversation!  MER co-sponsors at least one regional program per year, the next one could be yours!

You may use the comment feature on this site, or send an email to the MER staff person and she will forward it on.

In 2009 MER co-sponsored a program with the DenverMER, and January 2010 co-sponsored a program with the Chicago Hands-On Educators.  Both programs grew out of vibrant discussions of the issues raised by the Summer 2009 issue of the Journal of Museum Education on museums and schools.

2011 promises to be a busy year with another program in Chicago in May 2011 and the AAM reception in May 2011, plus two other regional programs in development!

MER organizes a program each August in Washington, DC, in conjunction with an annual meeting of the board, echoing the origins of the Roundtable in the city.
